Food Stamps

Applications may be filed in the county where you live or online. You may fax, mail, or bring the signed application to your County DHR office for processing.

Go to the following website https://www.dhr.state.al.us/counties/county_select.aspx to find the Food Assistance office nearest you. To apply for food assistance benefits online, please visit https://mydhr.alabama.gov/ . Before you can complete the application, you must first register for an account. Your completed application will be sent to the DHR office in the county where you live.

Food Pantries

  5. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. 2106 Mill St., Montgomery, AL 36105. Meals on wheels; Food Pantry- Restriction-NONE; Required Documents-picture ID; Frequency- Distribute twice a month as often as they have need and food is available.

  8. The City of St Jude. 2048 W. Fairview Ave., Montgomery, AL 36108. Visit @ 8:15a; Restriction-NONE; Required Documents-evidence of # of people in household, paystub & picture ID; Specific Time- Mon – Fri 9a – 11:45a & 1p – 4p (1st 30 people); Frequency-Once a month / Clean, friendly.
  9. Faith Crusades. 17 Mildred St, Montgomery, AL 36104. Restriction- none; Required Documents- identification suggested; Specific Time- 2nd Thursday at 8a… first come first serve for bag of food; Frequency- unlimited unless there is an emergency food issue.
  10. First Baptist Church. 305 S. Perry, Montgomery, AL 36104. Monday – Thursday from 9am – 3pm.
